How to eat a ton of chocolate without getting fat

I am a huge dark chocolate fan. I will explain below my take on the hyper surrounding dark chocolate as a food high in antioxidants.

For now, you can combine dark chocolate with some fruits that are high in antoxidants like strawberries, or any other berry for that matter. Eating any chocolate as solid bar will cause you to gain weight no matter how you look at it. However, consuming dark chocolate as a dip for a fruit is definitely the way to keep your weight down.

I love dark chocolate. I hear the hype about how it has antioxidants and all the health benefits of it. That’s great, but…hmmm. The hype about dark chocolate having antioxidants is true, but don’t forget that dark chocolate is still chocolate.

It still has tons of sugar and fat and can STILL raise your cholesterol and blood sugar if you consume too much.

Having one piece of dark chocolate a day is fine and it IS healthy, but the problem is that people think that because of its high antioxidant level, they can eat as much as they want, and that is where they go wrong. All things are good in moderation and sometimes, these sweet confections can make us forget that. I am a huge fan of Hershey’s Special Dark, Cadbury, York Peppermint Patty, and anything with dark chocolate mint, peanut butter, or raspberry. I also love the orange flavored bittersweet dark chocolate.

Yes, I understand that it is healthier than milk chocolate since milk chocolate does not have as much antioxidants, but remember, chocolate is chocolate whether dark, milk, white, bittersweet, or whatever.

The acai berry from the rainforest in Brazil has 10 times as much antioxidants as any other food on this planet. Dip this berry in some dark chocolate and then I think it would be safe to go a little crazy with the dark chocolate once in a while.

Believe it or not, I even saw someone server dark chocolate covered broccoli at a party. Does it sound weird to have a vegetable covered in chocolate? I thought so, but try it, you may like it. And of course, we all know how healthy veggies are. If you are going to drown them in Ranch dressing or onion dip, try dipping them in dark chocolate. I don’t see how you can gain any weight from eating chocolate like that.
